Parents will be like “tell me what’s really going on here” after you’ve told them what’s really going on multiple times but they don’t like that answer

Yes school is stressful, but I’m angry because you’re inviting an incredibly abusive figure back into my life and invalidating my justifiable anger over it. Yes school is hard but you rewriting the past ten years with a man who physically and emotionally traumatized me is harder. Yes school and work and roomates are tough sometimes but you inviting my abuser back into your home after you promised not to, and ensuring that I can’t come home for the holidays is what’s really bothering me. You just don’t like that answer because it puts my pain on your shoulders and you would rather rather blame anything else.
